I'll tell you, though I shouldn't ...

One of our school leavers is really interested in zero waste. She had organised many workshops to draw their schoolmates' attention on how to lead a zero waste life.

Here is an article on her thoughts:

Eco club activities in Poland

Pupils from Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny nr 3 im. Jana Pawła II in  Rybnik (Poland) decided that it was necessary to make the school's surroundings more environmentally friendly. To achieve this, the older children cleaned up the nearby forest, while the younger children made seed balls, which grew into beautiful, colourful flowers, which are visible from school windows.

Endangered animals

Students made some project work on the topic of endangered animals.

Learn about nature

Students who participated in the Turkish mobility visited an exhibition about environment in Trabzon. The Professor of KTU gave information about how to save the nature. Students watched some short documentaries about global warming and filled in a questionnaire and got some presents too.

Adopting animals

We have been teaching our students how to support animals in different ways: we visited dog shelters, donated food for animals in need, etc. In the Hungarian mobility, we adopted a giraffe in a zoo. While visiting the spot, we were taught why we need to support animals. We showed an alternative to our students how else they can help endangered animals so we adopted a giraffe for a year. We also received a certificate and our project's name was displayed among the donators. It was a huge experience to feed our beautiful wild animal. He was named HIPPTS (from our countries' names: Hungary-Italy-Poland-Portugal-Turkey-Spain) After the mobility we were invited to a parent meeting where we could get a general information on what has happened to HIPPTS. Some students attended this event.

Travel green

Our Italian partner school organised a local event during our mobility. The aim was to make cycling more popular and draw attentin on green means on transport. One of the stops was at the local municipality where the town officials welcomed our group and loved this idea.

Save an endangered species in your place of living (not ready yet- Poland and Portugal are missing)

All participants have chosen an endangered animal facing extinction. We tried to draw attention on their importance with a project work.

Adopting a BEE family

The Italian Eco Club members decided to adopt a BEE family in the organic garden of the Nuove Moretto organic farm to support bee-keeping that focuses on sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture.

The Italian school adopted beehives in 2022 too. They followed their life by an application that give us data, info and videos as well as photos. And in december honey :)
